Illegal printing

Here lies post number 4 this post will explain how 3D printer gives the capabilities to many people to print illegal products or contraband such as fire arms or even other types of weapons.I find that printing and distributing firearms and weapons should be illegal and should be controlled to a certain extent of what you are allowed and aren't allowed to print. A debate done on debate.org shows that 59% do think that 3D printing guns should be illegal, even though that is for positive I find that is still a very close margin  with the opposing side being against making 3D printing guns illegal having 41%. I find that 3D printers should be limited in a way where people should not be able to print certain blueprints.

In this image you can see the first 3D printed gun which the creator Cody Wilson has named "The liberator". Cody has developed this and argues that "the Liberator demonstrates governments' inability to enforce gun control", I find that his statement is very true although I do not agree with him releasing the blueprint to the public. As of now the blueprint is no longer distributed but people now know this is possible and it could cause the government to make a law against it. I find that just like any other contraband as seen a lot with drugs there always a market that will be created to distribute the product illegally.

All in all I think these 3D printed guns should be a bigger concern because considering they are made of plastic metal detectors would not detect that these guns are being smuggled. I also do find that these guns will prove points to many people that 3D printers aren't just a toy or a game it's a machine that can create destruction.
